The Staff, Board of Directors, and Supervisory Committee of your Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union understand how important it is to protect the personal and financial information you have entrusted with us (throughout this notice, the word “information” refers to personal information about you that may not be publicly available). Your Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union also understands how important it is to protect the privacy of personal information about our members and others who visit our web site at www.tvfcu.com and use our online services. We are committed to providing financial services to help meet your financial needs and goals. In order to do this and ensure your protection we have adopted the following Privacy Policy:

1. We will collect and disclose only the information that is necessary to conduct our business with you. This means just what is necessary to provide competitive financial products and services and no more. We will safeguard and protect this information at all times. This Statement is provided for the purpose of informing you of how we gather and protect your information.

This information is used only to process your application, service your account, and provide other benefits of Credit Union membership.

Employees are trained to handle all information in a confidential manner. All employees must adhere to our Code of Ethics as a requirement for continued employment. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your information.

   We will protect your personal information by maintaining strong security measures and controls to ensure your member information in our files and computers are protected. We will use security-coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to your personal records, ensure accuracy and integrity of communications and transactions, and protect your confidentiality.

   We will partner only with those businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. These business partners will offer products designed to enhance your financial well being and Credit Union membership. In addition, be assured we will not sell your member information to third party telemarketing firms.

   Remember that you will always have access to your information and the opportunity to review your information to make any necessary changes to ensure our records are accurate and complete. You also have a responsibility to safeguard your financial information at all times.

6. We do not control any of the external Internet web sites, which may be found as links from our website or any other sites to which they may link. Please check with each one of those sites for their own privacy policy.

Protection of your privacy is very important to us and we will continue to make every reasonable effort to maintain the highest level of security against any unauthorized access to your information. We will diligently review the measures we take in order to exceed the high level of privacy and confidentiality you deserve, which means this Privacy Policy may change from time to time.
