"Why I Love My Credit Union" VIDEO SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules.
ELIGIBILITY
Must be a member in good standing of Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union
age 16 and older. Must be a college student attending or preparing to attend an accredited college or university. Video Entries must be received by Friday, April 3 and the winner will be announced Tuesday, April 27, 2010. For purposes of these Official Rules, all times will be on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to enter or win.
ENTRIES
You may enter the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union "Why I Love My Credit Union" video scholarship contest by submitting/uploading your video (2 minutes (150MB) or less). You must agree to all terms stated within this page. AVI, MOV, MPEG are the acceptable video formats. Video resolution should not be less than 320x240. All required fields must be completed for eligibility.
Videos must be "G" rated. They should not include any profanity, inappropriate or suggestive conduct, nudeness, violence or copyrighted material. Entrees will be screened before being placed on YouTube and tvfcu.com for voting.
Entries must be submitted before 11:59 pm EST on Friday, April 2, 2010. Entries must be submitted under one name. All entries become the exclusive property of Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (Sponsor) and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor reserves the right to discard any videos containing inappropriate content. By submitting your entry, you grant permission to Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union to post your submission on www.tvfcu.com, YouTube.com and affiliate websites. By submitting your entry, you also grant permission to Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union to use your entry on a TV commercial or other promotion.
The Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic; including without limitation the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information online, or for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, delayed, stolen, misdirected or illegible entries. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Sponsor is not responsible for the use of copyrighted material such as music, images or video. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. All video entries may be loaded on YouTube and will be subject to YouTube's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. In case of dispute as to identity of a winner, such entry will be declared made by the registered user of the e-mail account at the time the entry was submitted, and if a prize is won, and such registered user is a valid entrant, the prize will be awarded to such registered user.
PRIZES
The following prize(s) will be awarded:
- Grand Prize winner - $2,000 Scholarship
- Voter's Choice Winner - $500 Scholarship.
All federal, state, provincial, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
WINNERS
All videos will be screened by TVFCU and reviewed for eligibility. The Grand Prize winner will be selected by a panel of judges outside the Credit Union. The Voter's Choice Award will be selected by online voting. All decisions of the Sponsor and online voting are final and binding. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone. The Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for any late, lost, or misdirected notification, or for winner's unsuccessful efforts to claim any prize.
By accepting and/or using prize, the winner agrees to the use of his/her video, name, voice and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account.
ONLINE VOTING
Qualifying videos will be posted to http://www.tvfcu.com on Friday, April 9, 2010 for online voting to begin. Voting will take place Friday, April 9, 2010 through Monday, April 26, 2009. 10:00 am EST. Winners will be announced Tuesday, April 27, 2009. All videos will compete head to head online during the voting time frame. Votes will be accepted online only, one vote per day per IP address.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final. Sponsor, agents and representatives of Sponsor, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (iii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel Contest at any time if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest.
By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees, to release and hold Sponsor and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives of Sponsor, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
