What is Overdraft Protection?

Your Financial Safeguard

TVFCU offers free Overdraft Protection. Overdraft protection lets you link another savings or checking account to your main checking account. If your checking account doesn’t have enough money to cover a purchase, funds will automatically transfer from the linked account to cover the difference—helping you avoid fees or declined transactions.

What is an NSF fee?

TVFCU Does Not Charge NSF Fees

NSF is short for non-sufficient funds. This fee is charged when a transaction is declined due to not having enough funds in your account. TVFCU does not charge NSF fees, to help members who may be struggling financially, reducing financial repercussions for those trying to get back on track.

What is Courtesy Pay?

  • TVFCU charges a $9 Courtesy Pay fee to allow the transaction to go through.
  • When you begin your checking account you are automatically opted-in for Courtesy Pay Service on checks and ACH items.
  • You may choose to opt in for debit card transactions.
