Originally from Chatsworth, Georgia, Shannon earned a degree in business and management from Dalton State College. He serves on the board and as treasurer for the Dalton Civitan Club, he is a graduate of the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Dalton-Whitfield program and he is a graduate and current co-chair of the chamber’s Emerging Leaders Institute.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys mountain biking, camping, staying active in his church and spending time with his wife and three children.

Gene is ready to help meet the needs of small businesses. He is a native of Cleveland, where began his career in financial services in 1999. He is a graduate of Berry College and has completed Leadership programs through the Chamber of Commerce in Athens and Cleveland. Gene joined TVFCU in 2007, serving as a loan officer in Indirect Lending and has managed several TVFCU branches. In 2019 he joined the Business & Commercial Services team as a business lender covering the Cleveland, Athens and Dayton markets, but is ready to assist members in all 17 counties.

Gene is happily married to Kathy, together they have three daughters and one grandson. He enjoys spending time with his family and doing DIY projects with his wife. You can also find him in the great outdoors — golfing, fishing and hunting.

Marcela is our bilingual Business Lender for TVFCU. Originally from Zacatecas, Mexico, Marcela migrated to the United States at the young age of four. In 2017, she began her financial career with a small community bank in the heart of Dalton, Georgia, where she cultivated a passion for lending. Marcela's diverse background and extensive banking experience have been instrumental in helping businesses grow and develop, empowering them through financial literacy and business lending. She is a proud alumna of Belhaven University and enjoys volunteering with local charities.

Outside of her professional life, Marcela enjoys spending time with her husband and beloved fur baby. She finds joy in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and spending time at the lake. When she is not outdoors, she enjoys dancing and painting.

Senior Commercial Lender & Market Leader

Drew, as senior commercial lender, will work with the business and commercial services department to extend loans to businesses across TVFCU’s 17-county service area. This includes loans as small as $2,500, like in the Idea Leap Loan program, to multi-million dollar lending. Before entering the credit union space, Holbrook worked in the banking industry for nearly 18 years. Holbrook lives in Athens, TN, with his wife and three children.

“Banking has changed a lot over the years,” said Holbrook. “As bigger banks continue to acquire smaller banks, I think it leads the industry away from the community-oriented focus that we need. I want to get back to that community feeling which being a community focused commercial lender with TVFCU allows me to accomplish.”

Mark is a Business Lender for TVFCU. He works closely with dealerships to help meet the needs of businesses to purchase commercial fleet vehicles.

Mark is a Chattanooga native and has worked for TVFCU for over 10 years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from UTC and an MBA from Bryan College. Mark enjoys camping, hiking, coaching soccer, and spending time with his family.

Josh was recently promoted to business lender, and he has been with TVFCU for over 15 years. He previously worked in various branches assisting members with loan processes.

Now, Josh is responsible for managing business loans primarily involving vehicles and equipment. Josh lives in Cleveland with his wife and their 16-year-old daughter.

“I enjoy being involved in the community and understanding it better,” said Josh. “I have a job where I get to help people and watch my hometown find growth and success.”
