Elan Financial Services Donates to Two Local Charities on Behalf of Tennessee Federal Valley Credit Union (TVFCU)

May 5, 2022

(Chattanooga, Tennessee) — Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) today announced it has been selected as one of Elan’s 50 credit union credit card partners to participate in Elan’s Across the Country Charitable Giving program. As one of 50 selected partners, we were able to choose two local charities to receive a generous $6,250 donation on our behalf.

“At TVFCU, we are delighted to share that we have selected Partnership for Families, Children and Adults (Partnership) and YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga YCAP (YMCA YCAP),” said Todd Fortner, president and CEO, TVFCU. “Both the Partnership and YCAP serve vital roles in the Greater Chattanooga community and we are grateful to Elan for helping us support their efforts to help strengthen our community.”

The Partnership works to improve the lives of its neighbors through a continuum of emergency, stability, and self-sufficiency services so that we have a strong, safe and informed community.

“This generous gift of $6,250 from Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union will fuel Partnership’s mission of empowering people and building communities,” said Pam Ladd, chief executive officer, Partnership. “With community donations, we helped more than 7,000 of our neighbors improve their lives last year, and this will help us do even more going forward.”

YMCA YCAP is an early intervention and prevention program for youth ages 10-15 who have been referred to us either through the juvenile court system or the school system. Each student and their family has a personalized treatment plan which addresses their educational, behavioral, and spiritual needs, including mentoring, tutoring, hot meals, family nights and group therapy.

“The YMCA YCAP of Chattanooga, TN would like to thank Elan on behalf of the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union for investing into the YCAP work,” said Andy Smith, regional executive director, YMCA YCAP. “Because of this gift, the YMCA YCAP staff will be able to continue to transform lives to those kids who are most vulnerable in our community. The YCAP Program prides itself in turning tragedies into triumphs, one child, one family and one community at a time. Thank you, Elan, and TVFCU for investing in our work.”

Elan Senior Vice President and General Manager, John Owens added, “We are so proud of our partnership with TVFCU and we are grateful to both Partnership and YMCA YCAP for their dedication to the community. We hope this hope this donation can be leveraged to make an even more meaningful impact.”
