Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan Henn to Vice President of Business and Commercial Services. Henn succeeds Tommy Nix, who is retiring in March after 11 years of dedicated service to the credit union.

In his new role, Henn will provide strategic leadership for TVFCU’s business and commercial services division, overseeing all business and commercial functions of the Credit Union as well as the company’s signature “Idea Leap” grants and loans.

Henn has been with TVFCU since 2015, advancing through roles of increasing responsibility including Business Lender, Business and Commercial Services Manager, and most recently Assistant Vice President of Business and Commercial Services.

“Ryan is well known throughout the community and has contributed significantly to the growth of the division during his tenure,” said Todd Fortner, president and CEO of TVFCU. “His leadership, experience, and deep knowledge of our company and its members will guide TVFCU’s business team into the future.”

Before joining TVFCU, Henn worked in community banking and with the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, where he advised entrepreneurs and business owners on strategies for growth and long-term stability. Henn holds a degree in business management from Bryan College and is also a graduate of the Southeast School of Banking (Vanderbilt University) and a Certified Credit Union Business Lending Professional (University of Wisconsin).

Active in the Chattanooga community, Henn is a member of the Chattanooga Downtown Rotary Club, serves as Board Chair of Y-CAP, is a Metro Board Member at the YMCA, and sits on the CHI Memorial Foundation PINK! Sponsorship Committee. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Chattanooga Class of 2019.

“I am excited to take on the role of Vice President of Business Services,” said Henn. “I look forward to continuing to strengthen relationships, expand opportunities for our business members, and support TVFCU’s long-term growth. I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward serving our members.”

Henn is married to Jessica Henn (UNUM) and has two daughters, Leigha and Lainey. When he’s not working, Henn keeps busy golfing, enjoying the outdoors, and coaching his girls’ sports teams.
