In this season of giving and generosity, it's incredible to know our branches can once again participate in community initiatives which support those in need during the holidays.

We've compiled ways for members to give this season, within our 13 county service region. There are several opportunities right at your front door. See which initiative below is nearby, and help make the season bright this year for your neighbors and community!

Angel Tree- In Branch Angel Tree Adoption and Drop Off

Throughout the month of November and into December, look for this sign inside many of our branches. TVFCU members will once again have a chance to donate to the Salvation Army and their annual Angel Tree program. TVFCU and its employees believe everyone deserves to experience the fun and joy of the holiday season. That is why we are once again offering gift assistance for children 12 and under and seniors 60 and older. This is just a simple way to help our neighbors who may be experiencing some tough times right now. Inside the branches listed below, you will find a tree with several tags hanging from the branches. Pick a tag, buy the present and return the unwrapped item to that branch where you can drop it off in the Salvation Army barrel. Simple acts of kindness seem to be the best way to spread holiday cheer. It also makes you feel great inside. For more information go to   www.csarmy.org/angeltree

McMinn County Rescue Squad Rescue Christmas

TVFCU-Athens will again be supporting the McMinn County Rescue Squad Rescue Christmas this holiday season. The branch will serve as a drop off point for members who wish to donate an unwrapped toy. This will be the 37th year of giving back to others. This volunteer organization, which provides emergency, fire, and rescue services to the citizens of McMinn and surrounding counties, will once again deliver hundreds of toys this holiday season. Last year, this group of dedicated volunteers helped make the holiday brighter for more than 130 families throughout McMinn County. There’s nothing more meaningful than taking care of neighbors in a place you call home.

DEADLINE: Please donate new and unwrapped toys.  Drop off toys in box by Friday, December 10

Rhea County Angel Tree Toy & Coat Drive

The TVFCU-Dayton branch will again this year be supporting the Rhea County Angel Tree Toy & Coat Drive. The branch will serve as a drop off point for members who wish to donate a new, unwrapped toy, or child’s winter coat this holiday season. Each year, it seems our members in this area, always take the time to think of families who may have fallen on hard times and need a little extra joy this holiday. This type of gift is a great way to show others that people care. It is a true feeling of hope for the future.

DEADLINE: Please donate either a new toy or child’s winter coat, now through Wednesday, December 15th. Any questions call 423-458-5392

Stocking Full of Love, North GA Branches

TVFCU’s North Georgia branches, including our newest location in Chickamauga, will  be donation drop-off sites for this year’s annual Stocking Full of Love events in Walker and Catoosa Counties. Each year, the citizens of these great counties come together to provide toys to children whose families need some extra support during the holidays. A lot of various fundraisers take place throughout the year to help buy extra new toys to go along with the boxes of presents already collected. Stop into our Fort Oglethorpe, Ringgold or Chickamauga branches and donate a new unwrapped toy through the first week in December for new born through 14 years of age. Someone once said, “ Children only make up a small portion of our population, but they are 100% of our future.” It’s that kind of spirit that is felt each year with the Stocking Full of Love campaign.

DEADLINE: Stop into our Fort Oglethorpe, Ringgold or Chickamauga branches and donate a new unwrapped toy through the first week in December for new born through 14 years of age.
