TVFCU’s Response to COVID-19 Pandemic
Community Credit Union is Committed To Members’ Well-Being and Convenience
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 20) — Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) is monitoring the latest developments related to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is working diligently to implement recommended precautionary measures.
“Our top priority is the health and safety of members, employees and the greater community,” said Todd Fortner, president and CEO of TVFCU. “We are closely following the evolving situation surrounding COVID-19 from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), regional, state and local authorities.”
After careful consideration and out of an abundance of caution for the health of our entire community, we have decided to temporarily suspend lobby services in TVFCU branches, but our drive-thrus will remain open as usual. However, members will still have access to their funds and other financial services from TVFCU, without ever stepping foot into a branch.
TVFCU remains committed to providing responsive service to its members while practicing tactics to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. TVFCU encourages members to use its convenient tvfcuLIVE Services, online banking and mobile app.
tvfcuLIVE Studio
Members are encouraged to visit interactive teller machines (ITMs) at in-store branches inside select Food City locations and at most branch drive-thrus to connect with a personal teller in our tvfcuLIVE Studio for basic transactions. Personal tellers are available in the tvfcuLIVE Studio from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, Monday through Saturday

tvfcuLIVE Stream
The credit union recently introduced a new video banking service called tvfcuLIVE Stream, which allows members to video chat using their smart device or computer. This feature can be used to open an account or get help with existing accounts. Members can download the tvfcuLIVE Stream app in the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
Online Banking and Mobile App
TVFCU also strongly encourages members to use its online banking service, tvfcuONLINE, or mobile app, tvfcuMOBILE, whenever possible for quick and easy access to accounts. Members can download the TVFCU mobile app in the Apple Store or Google Play Store, or visit tvfcu.com for online banking.
Precautionary Measures
Prior to this week’s passage of the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act and the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act, TVFCU had already taken steps to take care of full and part-time employees by providing them three days of paid emergency sick leave to use if needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, TVFCU had also made available an additional 10 days of paid pandemic sick leave in the event an employee or someone they are caring for at home tests positive for COVID-19.
Community Events
While you won’t see us out and about in the community right now, we are still helping with community initiatives. TVFCU has already provided $10,000 to support the Hamilton County Schools with an immediate need.
Financial Hardships
We understand these are unprecedented times and realize that the virus will have economic impacts. We encourage TVFCU members who may be experiencing financial difficulties as a result of COVID-19 to call us at (423) 634-3600 to discuss financial planning options.
Update Center
TVFCU has created a special page on its website — tvfcu.com/updates — to keep members and the community informed about TVFCU’s response to this evolving situation.
We are here to answer any questions or concerns you might have about how to best access your account. If you have questions, please call the tvfcuLIVE Line at (423) 634-3600.
Be well and take care of one another!
