Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union Hosts CHI Memorial's Mobile Mammography Screening Event

January 4, 2022

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Jan. 4, 2022) — As you take steps to improve your habits and overall lifestyle in 2022, make sure you also take advantage of health screenings when possible.

TVFCU has teamed up with CHI Memorial’s MaryEllen Locher Breast Center to host the mobile health coach in the parking lot of TVFCU’s Southside Branch, 125 West 20th Street in Chattanooga, on Thursday, Jan. 6, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. ET. Health experts inside the mobile coach will perform these life-saving examinations.

Mammography is one of the most reliable methods of early detection of breast cancer. All women should have a baseline screening between the ages of 35 and 40, followed by annual screenings. You must have an appointment and be at least 35 years of age to be screened. Please call 423-495-4040 to schedule your mobile program appointment.

No insurance, no problem. The hospital has money through generous donations to help serve uninsured women. Attendees must have doctor’s full name, driver’s license or state ID, and insurance card.
“Mammography is key to the prevention of breast cancer,” said Tammy Zumbrun, marketing/community outreach manager. “We are honored to work with CHI Memorial’s MaryEllen Locher Breast Center to help bring the mobile health coach to the Southside community in an effort to make it more convenient for women to get their mammogram.”
