Original Release:

Due to severe weather the night of March 1, 2023, Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union’s Athens branch sustained substantial damage, particularly to the drive-through. We are very thankful to report that no one was present or injured at the branch. The branch on Decatur Pike is closed until further notice as we assess damages.

In the meantime, credit union members in the Athens area will still have full access to all TVFCU services through online and in-person resources. Members may access the tvfcuLIVE Stream and video chat with a personal consultant by selecting “Video Banking” at tvfcu.com or downloading the tvfcuLIVE Stream app. Members may also call the tvfcuLIVE Line for assistance at 423-634-3600.

Athens-area members may also choose to visit the credit union’s branch in Etowah’s Food City store at 841 US-411 for full service. Members may also locate a surcharge-free ATM, made available through the nationally recognized CO-OP ATM network, on the locations and hours section of tvfcu.com.

Please return to TVFCU’s website and social media platforms for updates on the Athens branch.
