Volkswagen partners with TVFCU to open onsite bank branch in Chattanooga Assembly plant

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Volkswagen is pleased to announce the opening of a Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU) branch inside its Chattanooga factory.

In the spirit of convenience and innovation, Volkswagen employees and contractors who bank with TVFCU are now able to take advantage of the onsite full-service branch to manage checking accounts, apply for consumer loans and utilize other financial services.

“We are always looking for opportunities to make life a little more seamless for our team. As a top employer in the region, we are committed to expanding the resources available to our employees, and we are proud to do so by collaborating with important community partners such as TVFCU. By opening this branch, we are raising the bar for workplace amenities in our world-class production facility” said Volkswagen Group of America president and CEO Pablo Di Si.

The partnership between Volkswagen and TVFCU not only makes banking more convenient for Volkswagen team members, but also aims to improve the financial literacy of employees who choose to take advantage of the free educational options now available.

“We are thrilled about the upcoming opening of our new branch inside the Volkswagen manufacturing facility. This innovative branch is designed with you in mind, enhancing convenience for VW employees and reinforcing our commitment to supporting the community we all share. As we get ready to become a part of your daily work life, we're especially excited about the opportunity to offer tailored financial education programs—a key step in making our branch 'a place for all of us.' We look forward to serving you better in this dynamic setting, said Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union president and CEO Todd Fortner.

The Feb. 15 grand opening will conclude with a symbolic ribbon-cutting. The ribbon used is made from 100 one-dollar bills, signifying $100 that will be donated to United Way.
